The museum opened in Summer 2015. The founder, Vaclovas Kontrauskas, is passionate about art and more particularly about culinary traditions of different countries. He has been collecting different exhibits for 25 years. He is willing to share his passion to everyone. This museum is a good way to understand our dining and tableware habits.
Since Summer 2015, the Culinary Museum mission is to collect, store, study, restore, exhibit and popularise material and spiritual values in relation to the culinary history and tableware of different cultures throughout different times.
